[Video] – Rahul Gandhi’s First Interview by Arnab Goswami | Pappu Fails
So, now the Pappu (Rahul Gandhi), vice president of Indian National Congress Party and (so-called) promising Prime Minister candidate has been a trending topic, beating #Batista and Royal Rumble, #GrammyAwards2014, Sallu bhai’s #JaiHo and almost half of the population of India tweeting and posting about #RepublicDay on all the social media platforms, after being interviewed by Arnab Goswami – Indian Journalist and Editor-in-Chief on his show named “Frankly Speaking” aired on Times Now.
It was his first ever live on-screen interview since 2004, when he started his political career. The world witnessed the irrelevant answers given by Rahul instead of promising it in the start of the discussion that all his answers would be purely specific and up to the topic. But all he could talk about was the RTI (Right to Information act), Youth participation in politics, women empowerment and blah blah repetitions. The social media then got flooded with Rahul Gandhi memes, funny pictures, sarcastic comments, status updates of Rahul reinventing new heights of stupidity. Lets pick up some headline points which were controversial enough to engage Indian media till another week:
Some Headline Points were:
- Rahul says his philosophy fundamentally different from BJP, which concentrated power in Modi’s hands.
- Rahul thinks Congress will defeat the BJP in the next elections.”
- Rahul backs PM being right in accusing Mr. Narendra Modi of “presiding over a mass massacre.”
- Talking on NaMo, Rahul directly says, “Gujarat (riots) happened, people died, Modi was CM.”
