Welcome Budd-‘E’s….


The beginning of the semester saw an astounding response from the second year and third year students for the formation of TEAM KANISHK-2013. The selection process of budding Entrepreneurs (Budd-‘E’s) was successfully held by Entrepreneurship Cell of PCCOE.

The procedure to apply for respective vacancies was pretty easy for all the students. We had prepared an online form through which students could submit the form with all details which included the post they want to apply, the reason they are interested in joining Kanishk, qualities worth knowing about them and the contact details. Since three months we have indeed received an astonishing response both from the second and third year students. And a special mention about the E&TC students participation which showed an exponential increase this year. But at the same time we missed a little feminism in the group.inter-viewers

The selection process mainly consisted of an interview in which the student would get the maximum chance to express himself on different topics ranging from hobbies to politics. The interview was conducted by Mr. Anikait Chavan, the student co-ordinator as well as Head of Planning Department jointly with the respective BOD’s of the departments.

We received 35 registrations overall from the students which were then divided into two slots for the selection process. On 19th December, we conducted the round for students belonging to documentation, execution and planning department. On 20th December, the remaining students were interviewed for their posts. On the other hand, as all the BOD’s were also present , it proved to be an interactive session with all the budding E-leaders telling them about the events conducted since the last few years and also inheriting creative ideas from them. First Meeting of 2012-13 ends well….


So, we had our very first meet of this semester on 15th September 2012, with major motive to form a board committee and assigning respective duties to the heads for academic year 2012-13.

The meeting was conducted by Mr. Anikait Chavan, Student co-ordinator of Kanishk in the GDPI room at  cabin. The meeting started with the description of departments to be chosen by the existing members of Kanishk.

The departments in Kanishk are:

  • Planning
  • Finance
  • Media
  • Marketing
  • Execution
  • Communication
  • Documentation
  • Digital Design
  • Photography

The student co-ordinator briefed the members about the significance of each department and the duties which would be entrusted to the Head of the Departments. He also rightly narrated a story focussing on the importance of synchronization among the members of the team and qualities like trust and belief in work.

The department heads were chosen as follows:

  • Documentation- Ms. Sneha Nakil
  • Execution- Mr. Dipin Nair
  • Finance- Ms. Shreyta Kulkarni
  • Digital Design- Ms. Suruchi Borhade
  • Photography- Ms. Neha Patil
  • Media- Ms. Aishwarya Chandrasekaran
  • Planning- Mr. Anikait Chavan
  • Communication- Mr. Ansh Bahri

The departments of Communication and Marketing would be jointly handled by all the team members.

The meeting concluded with all the necessary tasks assigned to respective members. The objective of conducting the next meeting was the selection criteria for forming a committee of each department.
